Debut

After many years of trying to do some sort of writing that doesn't include technical boredom, I was published in the Boston Globe magazine today. It's like a whole new world is opening up to me.

Here's the link if you'd like to read it: http://bit.ly/bt1PTF

Thanks to all my loyal readers and posters for keeping me motivated to write.

  3. Hello Kathy,

    Long time no see.

Your Globe article is terrific...I had a lump in my throat and a hint of a tear all through it. We're on our 3rd Springer now and I'm still doing stuff with NEESSR. I'd love to talk with you.

  5. Thanks to everyone for your comments! Looks like I've got some other blogs to check out and old rescue friends to connect with. So far, it's been a wonderful day.

Alice: Brittany is doing fine. It took her a few weeks to adjust. She moped around a lot. But, to some degree, I think she may have felt some sense of relief. She visibly worried about Alex.

Brit seems to have more energy now and is very "bouncy" (as only springers can be), as she was years ago. Ron and I call her "everybody's mother" since she's the one to kiss and snuggle when anyone in the house is not feeling well. She's remarkably in tune with the world around her.

I'll post a picture of the two of them so that everyone can see them.

  6. Glad to hear that Brittany is doing well. Sounds like she’s the eternal optimist, like her human mom. :-)
